2. Ensures that projects milestone dates are achieved.
3. Consolidate a reputation for innovative engineering, technical expertise and professionalism.
4. Continual improvement with regards to safety, quality and best practice.
5. Knows and implement direct work sequencing to expedite project delivery.
6. Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and / or construction.
7. Participates in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for major construction projects. Also provides conceptual estimates, feasibility studies, cost estimates and may also coordinate the production of basic design plans and construction documents as required.
8. Able to apply engineering principles in the preparation for calculations, drawings, sketches and resolution of engineering challenges within the specific knowledge areas.
9. Implement engineering systems, documentation and control in compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company and industry standards.
10. Monitors contractors and sub-contractors in the project site.
11. To direct and supervise planning and construction activities on site.
12. Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of various engineering disciplines including planning, QS, QA/QC, materials, plant, equipment, formwork, false work, scaffolding and shoring.
13. Able to promote forward thinking and always strive for engineering excellence.
14. Motivate, train and retain the best engineering staff in the company.
15. Create a working environment that recognizes and develops engineering talent.

17. Set SMART Objectives for self and for the construction team.
18. Able to properly represent the company when involved with external organizations.
