Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The IT Systems and Security Senior Administrator manages, monitors, develops, and maintains the integrity and

security of the Mining Group IT network, servers, systems and infrastructure, whether it be on-premise or externally

provisioned.

The aim of the role is to ensure the Mining Group IT profile is maintained in the top tier of IDO entities by evaluating

and enhancing current IT systems and recommending developments towards future systems whilst maintaining the

integrity and security of the network and operational systems at all times

The IT Systems and Security Senior Administrator is responsible for maintenance, development, security and support

of the infrastructure, network and operational systems in relation to protection against cybersecurity threats, day to

day business needs and future requirements.

Principle Accountabilities include (non-exhaustive)

• Supervision of all IT Security management activities, policies and procedures.

• Team leading and mentoring

• Ensuring compliance to security standards and policies in force (ISO/IEC 27001)

• Implementation of procedures and controls necessary to ensure security (Confidentiality, Integrity and

Availability) of Information systems and other IT assets for both internal and external parties

• Conducting internal security audits and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.

• Configuration and optimization of core Network Equipment, Servers and Workstation operating systems

• Designing solutions and configuration of Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, VPN, Remote
