Functions as a member of cardiac catheterization team to prepare the cath lab for a procedure.
Ensures all needed equipment is in place for the procedure. Ensures all needed supplies are available for the procedure.
Responsible for inventory and control of supplies. Assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed for the daily operations.
Assists with cath lab administrative duties as necessary. Actively participates in the department performance improvement initiatives.
Recommends possible areas for improvement and assist in data collection.
Maintains all appropriate licensure/certification and continuing education documentation. Completes all annual requirements in a timely manner.
Ensures licensure/certification is current. Takes responsibility for self improvement. Assumes the responsibility for job/career growth.
Demonstrate self-starting and self discipline traits. Seeks additional assignments when assigned task are completed.
Accepts assignment with a positive attitude. Documents attendance or review departmental meeting minutes.

Ensures continuity of care by maintaining accurate and concise documentation. Anticipates, recognizes and manages emergencies and unsafe situations / practices and initiates appropriate and timely interventions. Acts as preceptor for new nursing staff. Ensures accurate billing information is recorded.
Performs any other job assigned by the in-charge nurse as per exigencies of work.
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives, in-service education programs, unit meetings, and committee functions as assigned.
