Functions as a member of cardiac catheterization team to prepare the cath lab for a procedure.
Ensures all needed equipment is in place for the procedure. Ensures all needed supplies are available for the procedure.
Responsible for inventory and control of supplies. Assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed for the daily operations.
Assists with cath lab administrative duties as necessary. Actively participates in the department performance improvement initiatives.
Recommends possible areas for improvement and assist in data collection.
Maintains all appropriate licensure/certification and continuing education documentation. Completes all annual requirements in a timely manner.
Ensures licensure/certification is current. Takes responsibility for self improvement. Assumes the responsibility for job/career growth.
Demonstrate self-starting and self discipline traits. Seeks additional assignments when assigned task are completed.
Accepts assignment with a positive attitude. Documents attendance or review departmental meeting minutes.

Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives, in-service education programs, unit meetings, and committee functions as assigned.

Keeps patient records, updates charts or conducts assessments of their needs and prepares patients for medical procedures.
Assists in pre-procedure set-up and preparation Circulates in on various PCI procedures, working alongside the doctors and nurses.
Closely monitors patient before, during and after procedure. Functions in accordance with legislative and common law.
Collaborates with the critical care team to achieve desired outcomes. Collaborates with other health professionals and community services in the delivery of health care.
Identifies individual training and development requirements with critical care development program.
Recognizes one’s own level of professional competence and practices within those limits.
