• Reviewing customer and/or tender specifications and drafting of technical specifications/compliance sheet in accordance to both technical and budgetary requirements
• Preparing suitable preliminary design based on the specifications, material and brand of major items, e.g. Chassis, PTO, Pump and other major equipment
• Searching for and selecting suppliers and manufacturers that best meet the customer's requirements, requesting for quotations and negotiating on both the technical and commercial aspects of the products
• Preparing costing sheets and guiding the coordinators and draughtsman in making accurate commercial offers, technical specifications, compliance sheets, drawings and other documents
• Discussion with Estimation Manager, Head of Engineering and/or Production Manager as may be required for enquiries of critical nature (such as new products) particularly on plausibility of specifications, chassis suitability, delivery etc.
• Keeping a record of supplier quotations and catalogs for present and future references
• Such other duties as may be assigned by the Estimation Manager
Qualification :
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other equivalent fields
• Prior experience not required but definitely
preferred
Experience: 2 - 8 years
