Responsible to carry out endodontic care of patients within the assigned privileges.
• Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases of nerve, pulp, and other tissues affecting vitality of teeth: Examines teeth, gums, and related tissues to determine condition, using instruments, x ray, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Diagnoses condition and plans treatment.
• Treats exposure of pulp by pulp capping or removal of pulp from pulp chamber and root canal, using instruments.
• Performs partial or total removal of pulp, using surgical instruments.
• Treats infected root canal and related tissues, and fills pulp chamber and canal with endodontic materials.
• Restores apex of tooth with pathologic tissue which has been surgically curettaged by OMFS.
• Reinserts teeth that have been knocked out of mouth by accident.
• Bleaches discolored teeth to restore natural color.
• Maintain equipment and order supplies.
Patient care
• Perform clinical responsibilities, specific surgical procedures as per privileges assigned based on the respective credentials.
• Diagnose and treat patients according to established standards of best practice - including history taking, clinical examination, investigation, treatment and referral as and when appropriate
• Maintain Confidentiality of patient information at all the time.
• Regularly review results of all investigations and modify treatment as required
Experience: 2 - 8 years
Education: Bachelor of Dental Surgery(Dentistry).
