Accountable to respond immediately to emergency calls and to requests for assistance, and to attend safely to emergency incidents including fires, road traffic accidents, floods, bomb incidents, air crashes, rescues from height and any other emergency situations, aiming to protect lives and properties from fire, flood and other emergency situations.
Responsible to maintain Taweelah Fire Station, its fire engines and equipment for operational readiness at all times in accordance with routine periodic maintenance and checks, inspections, tests, and drive fire vehicles in a safe manner to any locations inside or outside the plant as directed by Officer in Charge, if licensed to do so.
Responsible to carry out all equipment Acceptance tests, Standard tests, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annually and Annual tests, and to document accordingly.
Accountable to undertake drills, training on emergency response techniques and the use of various fire equipment, and to maintain the level of physical & Medical fitness necessary to carry out all the duties of a Firefighter.
Responsible to participate in building Fire Safety Inspections and Evacuation Drills, conduct inspection and commissioning of fire protection systems, and inspection of Fuel Storage Facilities.
Responsible to maintain a good appearance, clean beard shave (for safe and efficient use of SCBA equipment) and wear clean and proper uniform at all times.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required by the Deputy / Shift Leader Firefighting.
