Development and Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHS MS) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to effectively communicate Safety requirements to the workforce, peers and management.
Assist QHSE Manager in establishing OHS Objectives and Targets, Annual Safety plan and Financial Budget to achieve commitments.
Review and update OHS MS, Safety Policy, Risk Register, Legal register and safe operating procedures on annual basis for continual improvement and to achieve zero injury goal.
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment for manufacturing activities (mainly mechanical fabrication, assembly, electrical, lifting, pressure testing, etc.), machineries and materials used in production process to eliminate workplace injuries and accidents.
Finalize measures to control risk at Euro Mechanical Factory by implementing engineering controls, machine guarding and ensure control measures are followed by employees. Evaluating Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Review Material Safety Data Sheet considering employee health risk to safeguard them from hazardous substances and compressed gases.
Carry out Annual Internal and External Safety Audits to find out NCR’s and adequate corrective actions required and submit report to local authority.
Schedule and Participate in periodic safety Inspections to find out unsafe actions/conditions in Euro Mechanical factory to make premise safe for employees.
Review Incident and Accident reports, conduct investigations to find out root causes and implement control measures/recommendation to minimize reoccurrence in future.
Ensure adequate safety training plan developed, implemented and workers are trained accordingly. Training records are retained as per procedure for further audits. Arrange certified training from outside. Arrange Safety awareness program, awards and incentives for employees to motivate them for good safety practices.
Prepare monthly, Quarterly and Annual Safety Performance report of company for management review and submission to Industrial Authority.
Develop & Implement Onsite and offsite emergency plans. Schedule and monitor emergency mock drills.
Oversee maintenance, modification, periodic inspection of fire detection/firefighting system and equipment in compliance with civil defense requirements. Appointment of fire contractors.
Schedule weekly, monthly and quarterly Safety Meetings for consultation and communications regarding Health & Safety practices with team, to communicate lessons learned from accident investigations.
Advice Safety Engineers Team working onsite for major shutdown and Modification projects. Manage and Schedule OHS team, distribute responsibilities and report to QHSE manager.
Reporting to Industrial Authority (IDB), Occupational Safety and Health department of Abu Dhabi (OSHAD), Civil Defense and EAD.
Willing to move at all the Euro Mechanical sites Offshore and Onshore.
Has frequent contact with operational departments at up to division head level for exchange of information and discuss loss control aspects.
Has regular contact with contractor staff when reviewing their procedures
