Biomedical Engineer Almoosa Specialist Hospital Saudi Arabia , Eastern Province
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide personalized coordinated care, andsupport for patients and families.
Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Provide technical support for medical technology throughout healthcare system as assigned, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, maintaining medical technology and parts inventories, performing rounds in customer areas.
Document all actions and test results according to department policy, using computerized maintenance management software applications and other standard office software applications.
Coordinate and participate in medical technology installation planning, acceptance testing, upgrading, discarding and renovations,
Develop preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines.
Train all technical staff on proper testing and other procedures to be followed when performing scheduled preventive maintenance on devices maintained by the biomedical engineering unit.
Perform incident investigation and medical technology performance analysis as required.
Review patient care equipment safety alerts and recall notices and take appropriate actions to ensure the affected medical technology is tested or removed from service, where appropriate.
Assist the head of biomedical unit in the evaluation and supervision of technical staff as they perform duties and responsibilities related to technical support, maintenance, and repair of patient care medical technology.
Develop and conduct in- service education programs on new and existing equipment for maintenance personnel, physicians, nurses and technicians to ensure proper use and adherence to safety guidelines.
Contribute to Quality/ Performance Improvement, Risk Management, Safety and Infection Control Programs.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Clinical Engineering experience
SPECIALIZED SKILLS :
Specialized skills of oral and written English and Arabic are preferred
Computer skills
COMPETENCE:
Accountable for overall Operation of Biomedical Engineering Department
REQUIRED ATTITUDE TO PERFORM THE JOB:
Proper, effective and compassionate communication.
