Cost Estimation Engineer Job Description
1. Study the project/tender documents (B.O.Q, drawings, specifications, etc.) and sorting out any unclear issues.
2. Visit site and record information about (access, drainage and topography, and availability of services such as water and electricity, etc.
3. Obtaining subcontractor, supplier/ vendor quotations in coordination with purchasing department.
4. Review and Prepare comparison sheets for quotations from Suppliers/Subcontractors.
5. Assist in estimation of direct costs and prepare the cost breakdown files.
6. Involved in the preparation & compilation of the technical offers for tenders.
7. Involved in Complete tender follow-up and negotiations.
8. Build and maintain pricing / estimating databases and ensure that all costs are captured and feedback through the system.
