General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our freight forwarding company. We’re a close-knit, driven team that believes logistics works best when people actually enjoy working together. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting knowledge, strong attention to detail, and experience handling financial transactions related to logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record daily accounting entries (AR, AP, journal entries).
• Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, and governmental entities.
• Issue customer invoices and follow up on collections.
• Review and process vendor invoices, including freight and operational costs.
• Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and supplier accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with closing activities.
• Coordinate with operations and pricing teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, etc.).
• Support audits and provide the required financial documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and Egyptian tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
