Amazon Music is looking for a talented lawyer to support our quickly growing music business. Our work is intellectually challenging, exciting and fast-paced. You will directly advise our music streaming business on a broad range of matters. Next to working on new initiatives, you will work as the lead lawyer on strategic projects, providing day-to-day advice to the music business in a wide range of legal areas, notably content licensing, marketing, and regulatory compliance. You will directly work with the business to structure, draft and negotiate licenses and commercial agreements with external partners.
The role is based in Dubai, and some international travel may be required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
. Law degree (J.D., LL.B. or equivalent) from a leading university and/or law school
. At least 8+ years of post-qualification legal experience, with at least 3 years at an international law firm
. Excellent English language skills including the ability to negotiate and draft contracts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Arabic language skills
. Experience in media, content, entertainment, technology, or e-commerce transactions
. Ability to develop creative and pragmatic solutions to novel legal questions
. Great legal and business judgment especially in ambiguous situations
. High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness
