Independently carry out designs of Electrical Power distribution systems, under the guidance of senior engineer.
Prepare Electrical HV and LV Designs, Lighting Designs for Indoor, Outdoor applications using Dialux, and AGI32 software with support from the Senior Engineer.
Carryout electrical Load analysis and Short circuit calculations, and Cable derating calculations using Cymcap / Similar software.
Perform load demand calculations for large private developments and/ or large Government projects.
Designing Fire alarm and Life safety systems.
Support, with suitable guidance from Senior engineers, the preparation of detailed technical, commercial and Life Cycle Cost Analysis of various technical alternatives.
Support in preparing the presentations for Clients.
Requirements:
Degree in electrical engineering from a reputable university
Minimum 4 to 6 years experience in electrical lighting design of infrastructure projects
Shall be conversant with the IEC, IEEE as well as DEWA regulations for the electrical designs.
Shall have experience of liaising with DEWA for obtaining Load NOCs, LV Design Approvals, HV Design Approvals, 11 KV Substations, etc.
Knowledge/experience using Dialux, and AGI32 software
Familiar with Electricity Authority regulations such as DEWA, ADDC/ ADWEA and other authorities within gulf region.
Aware about the requirements for the electrical system design for the Pump stations.
Minimum basic knowledge in the lighting designs for indoor as well as outdoor applications, such as road lighting, tunnel lighting etc.
Basic understanding of the ELV Systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Parking Management, BMS, SCADA
Shall have basic understanding of Power cable sizing calculations using software such as Amtech.
