Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory and company requirements.
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors.
Deliver and track new employee safety orientations. Develop and deliver training programs in a manner that raises employee awareness and enables employees and supervisors to work safely.
Ensure that the EHS management system is established, implemented, and maintained.
Monitor and report on safety performance, including incident rates and near-misses.
Responsible for managing, maintaining and continually improving the health, safety and loss prevention, protection of the facility, while promoting responsible use of resources.
Participate in and facilitate HS&E audits, front-end process engineering events focusing on risk.
Knowledge of the ISO requirement and monitoring thereof.
Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate and participate in emergency response planning and drills.
Communicate safety information and updates to employees and contractors.
Maintain accurate records of safety training and incidents.
