Research Scientist/Engineer in Carbon Capture (CC) or Carbon Sequestration
1. Should be capable of writing proposals in the areas of CC & CS technologies.
2. Should be able to contribute to the ongoing research in CC and/or CS.
3. Can develop courses in CC & CS technologies and contribute to core curriculum development.
4. Demonstrate a sustained and productive program of research and publication or creative activity in carbon capture.
5. Remain current in the discipline and incorporate current research, theory, and methods in teaching
6. Act as advisor to graduate students. The candidate should produce research and publish findings or creative works in addition to advising graduate students.
Compensation & Benefits
Two-year renewable contract. Competitive tax-free salaries based on qualifications and experience. All KFUPM faculty are offered free furnished air-conditioned on-campus housing unit with free essential utilities and maintenance. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING/Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or related fields with good experience in Carbon Capture and Sequestration Technologies
2. Excellence in undergraduate teaching as demonstrated by ability to mentor students through academic advising, to integrate research/creative activity into the classroom, and to stimulate enthusiastic learning.
3. Scholarly activity in Carbon Capture Technologies as demonstrated by the publication of scholarly materials reflecting current developments in a particular area of expertise and/or production of professional/artistic creations that achieve recognition in the research community
4. High degrees of theoretical and technical competency in Carbon Capture Technologies relevant to current trends in the area of expertise/specialization
5. Ability to effectively engage faculty, staff, and students in a collegial and collaborative manner
Effective written and oral COMMUNICATION SKILLS
