A Design Engineer is responsible for ensuring timely completion of activities assigned by Engineering Manager and provides inputs to draftsman’s. Independently determines approach to assigned tasks. Able to effectively train his/her work group and effectively support work teams within the work group. Be an effective team member, working with Manager and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output.
Principal Duties:
Review of project documents (Client data sheet, specifications, Drawing etc.) issued by client.
Perform design calculation.
Manual calculation for pressure & non-pressure parts.
Review of design calculation done by others.
Providing inputs to draftsmen.
Guidance to the draftsmen for preparation of drawings.
Checking of drawings prepared by draftsmen.
Preparation of Job wise Material Requisition (MR) for procurement.
Preparation of Technical Delivery Conditions (TDC) for material.
Issuing engineering documents, calculations & drawings to client for approval.
Issuing drawings to internal departments for fabrication/construction.
Reviewing the client's comments on design calculation & drawings and ensuring incorporation of comments in next revision.
Prepare As Built engineering documents and issue for Dossier.
Visiting sites, if required for getting design inputs.
Interaction with clients for any queries related to project.
