Marine Ecologist Applied Research Center for Environment
The Applied Research Center for Environment & Marine Studies (ARCEMS) is seeking applications from qualified and experienced candidates to work as a Research Scientist III (faculty position). The applicant must hold a Doctoral degree in Marine Biology / Marine ecology from a reputed university. Knowledge of overall marine ecology (pelagic and benthic ecology) is essential, together with proven experience as a research diver. A solid background in statistical analysis (e.g. Primer or R) is also desirable.
Job Responsibility
The selected candidate is expected to actively contribute to the center's monitoring and research activities in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea. Furthermore, the candidate will contribute to the development of new research and other project proposals. Besides the work at KFUPM, the job will also include substantial fieldwork activity in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea.

Qualifications
Applicant must have an earned Ph.D. degree from a reputed institution with a good QS rank
Research experience in various aspects of marine ecology .
Experience in leading tasks related to the coral reef, seagrass, benthos, or plankton and primary productivity.
Strong publication record . Knowledge in proposal preparation.
Ability to work with interdisciplinary research groups .
SCUBA Diving experience
