Engineer | Rotating Equipment (Jubail, Saudi Arabia)

JOB PURPOSE :
To run and handle the function of failures prediction in the rotating equipment field and proactively addressing the required prevention/mitigation for the likely failures through effective equipment strategy as well as guiding a group of the filed maintenance engineers to support the respective plant in the field of rotating machinery engineering including troubleshooting, conducting through failure investigation cases, developing performance improvement studies, supporting to execute and complete the scheduled predictive maintenance tasks.

To work in conjunction with the plant maintenance team and rotating equipment manager's to identify problems which result in production delays or excessive costs as well as to provide technical leadership for Rotating Equipment issues on Hadeed by providing recommendations and leading its execution, creating the reports to the plants maintenance management in order to identify opportunities for improvement & extend service life of Rotating Equipment.

To assist as part of the Technical & Support Division team to raise standards of engineering and assist in the training for the assigned team to achieve business objectives and grow capability.

Ensure the business processes and work activities, relevant to the rotating equipment field, are executed in compliance with Hadeed policy/standards and procedures to achieve business objectives of the Asset Engineering Department in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY:

Provide technical engineering support for Rotating Equipment, Monitor their performance and provide technical assurance on the effective execution of related RL1 & RL2 equipment maintenance strategies.
Develop, plan and provide technical support to execute the condition monitoring / analysis and troubleshooting activities to maintain and enhance rotating equipment integrity and reliability in the assigned area.
Monitor the execution of the general rotating equipment maintenance strategies as well as to work in failure prediction and trigger worth cases to investigate rotating equipment recurring function failures in the assigned area.
Work to optimize rotating equipment strategies and lead efforts to eliminate the Performance Killers & Bad Actors in the machinery field.
Engage to provide professional engineering advice and technical expertise for Hadeed business units and departments to support project development, engineering studies, SD/TA plans, and activities, asset life assessment (ALA) improvement programs.
Participate in RCA, RCM and Technical investigations for the equipment breakdowns and provide recommendations to avoid the recurrence of the same failure. Also, provide timely attention and rectification of the machinery problems.
Lead and act as primary resource pool for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) studies as needed.
Strive towards improving reliability of rotating equipment and provide expert knowledge and support to Maintenance Managers, Plant Engineers/Specialists, Supervisors and Senior Technicians.
Provide and develop high learning materials in the machinery field as well as to conduct in-house training in “Asset Integrity Programs”.
Establish and maintain effective Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) networking.
To comply fully with EHSS & Quality Policies.


Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:


Minimum Qualifications: University degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering.

Minimum Experience:
Mechanical Engineer in maintenance and production.
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in design of rotating machinery or Engineering role in a heavy industry.
Ideally would have Steel making / rolling experience.
Should have sound knowledge on the rotating machinery, and other Mechanical Engineering specializations.
Knowledge on condition monitoring techniques such as Vibration monitoring, Thermography, Oil Sampling & Analysis, Laser alignment systems etc. will be desirable.
Job Specific Skills:

Should have the knowledge of the Reliability Engineering basic concepts. (RCA, FMECA, RCM, etc.).
Should have self-motivated and dynamic to ensure he focuses of reliability and no get drawn or sidelined into other plant / maintenance based issues.
Should have good negotiations skills in order to be able to carry out his duties.
Should have good oral and written communication skills.
Spoken and written English fluent.

Work Environment:

60% of work is spent in office environment, 40% in adverse plant conditions, dust, noise, etc.
