Senior Accountant

Arabian building company , We are construction contracting company. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of our month-end close process and ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and driving process improvements. This role is perfect for someone who wants to move beyond just recording transactions and start influencing business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Month-End Close: Manage the complete month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and conduct variance analysis vs. budget.
• Reconciliations: Oversee complex balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and assist in the preparation of workpapers for external auditors.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes to increase efficiency.
• Vat : prepare vat to submit ZATCA
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and review work for junior staff accountants.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• Experience: 6+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting experience is a plus).
• Technical Skills: Expert in Excel (XLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIFS) and proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Enterprise).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, ability to meet tight deadlines, and excellent communication skills for interacting with department heads.
