الوصف الوظيفي Duties and Responsibilities: · Assures quality of care by adhering to standard protocols and procedures set by the hospital. · Maintains safe and clean working environment in compliance with the health care procedures. · Correct identification of the patient before entering to the clinic, taking vital signs and admitting of patient. · Take and record the patient's vital signs and relaying to the team leader and doctor for any discrepancies of the result. · Preparing the patients for examinations and procedure. · Assisting doctors in patient examination and procedures. · Monitors and documents the patient' s condition and the effectiveness of nursing care and / or interventions. · Administers prescribed medications (Intramuscular, subcutaneous, oral, nebulization, etc) in accordance with approved nursing protocol (observing the 6 rights of medication administration). · Performs procedures (wound dressing, ECG, etc) properly based on the set standards of nursing care · Maintains aseptic technique in doing the wound dressing. · Protects patients and other employees by adhering to infection control policies, medication administration and storage procedures and controlled substance regulations. · Ensures patient's safety prior and after any examinations. · Promotes patient independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient, friends and family to understand condition, medication and self — care skills, answering questions. · Maintains confidentiality regarding patients and families. · Adhere with the norms, protocols and regulations in order to maintain complete medical records. · Coordinating to the corridor nurse for the plan of care to be given to the patient. · Proper endorsement of patient for admission using the ISBAR to the team leader, document nursing care done thru nurses' notes and make sure that the doctor properly informed the case of the patient to the involved healthcare team. · Interacts with patients and families in a courteous and helpful manner. · Giving instructions and health teaching to patient and significant others. · Make sure that patients or immediate family member has been informed if procedures are to be done and make sure that consent was signed if needed. · Maintains professionalism at all times and adheres to dress code set by the hospital. · Acts as a team leader in cases like lacking of Staff Nurse 1 . · Act as preceptor and mentor to the new staff and students. · Checking of completeness and functionality if the machine in the crash cart. · Checking the completeness of information in the laboratory request and sticker attached to the container prior to sending the specimen to the laboratory. · Sends specimen to the laboratory. · Checking the calibration of the ref10 machine. · Complete the checklist inside the clinics and those that are attached in the machines like weighing scale, wheelchair and oxygen tanks. · Checking of stocks on regular basis and placing orders if required. · Checking of completeness and expiration of instruments for CSSD. · Checking and refilling of lacking stocks inside the clinic. · Endorse crash cart to the next staff assigned. · Change of rotation every three months. · Shares knowledge in nursing practice thru in-service lecture. · Provides and manages patient health education المهارات · Must have good critical thinking skills. · Must be computer-literate.
