Job Purpose
The Agricultural Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth by building strong customer relationships, promoting agricultural products, and contributing to sales strategy development at SIAD. This role serves as a vital link between the company and agricultural clients, facilitating successful transactions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Job Duties
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Forecast Management: Develop and maintain annual sales forecasts to guide strategic planning.
Market Analysis: Provide valuable market price information and conduct market analysis to inform pricing strategies.
Sales Operations Development: Contribute to the growth and expansion of sales operations by developing strategies for year-over-year improvement.
Market Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and emerging competitors to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Customer Relationship Management:
Customer Engagement: Proactively enhance customer relationships through active follow-up and attentive customer service.
Financial Management: Manage cash collection processes and diligently follow up with aging customers to ensure timely payments.
Delivery Coordination: Communicate effectively with customers, informing them of estimated delivery schedules to meet their expectations.
Lead Generation: Create and maintain a comprehensive list of sales leads to explore new business opportunities.
Product Knowledge and Sales:
Product Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a wide range of commercial and agricultural products, including pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers.
Sales Techniques: Employ effective sales techniques, including phone sales and in-person visits, to build a robust book of business.
Inventory Management: Monitor product availability and stock levels, ensuring timely delivery and fulfillment of customer orders.
Technical Proficiency: Be proficient in understanding equipment operation and possess expertise in areas such as fertilizers and their impact on crops.
Pricing Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate prices and provide recommendations for more efficient product choices when appropriate.
Reporting and Territory Management:
Reporting Accuracy: Prepare accurate and timely sales reports to track performance and inform decision-making.
Territory Management: Efficiently work in different territories, optimizing sales efforts and expanding market reach.
Qualifications
2 year experience in similar position
Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
Excellent command of English and Arabic
Excellent computer skills
Preferred background in sales and merchandizing
Market Knowledge and technical terms knowledge
