Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled GIS Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for various projects. The role involves data collection, spatial analysis, mapping, and collaboration with project teams to provide accurate geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain GIS databases and systems.
Collect, validate, and analyze geospatial data from various sources.
Create maps, spatial models, and visualizations for project planning and decision-making.
Integrate GIS data with other engineering or project management systems.
Perform spatial analysis and provide technical support for project teams.
Ensure GIS data quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
Support field surveys and data acquisition activities.
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
Professional certification in GIS (e.g., Esri ArcGIS) is a plus.
Experience
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in GIS applications, preferably in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in GIS software: ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD Map 3D, or similar.
Strong knowledge of spatial analysis, GPS, remote sensing, and geodatabases.
Ability to create detailed maps and visualizations.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Knowledge of database management (SQL) is a plus.
Languages
English: Good command (written and spoken).
