Assist in the implementation of PSM frameworks
Assists in the site wide PSM activities to provide technical support and to ensure the safe start-up, operations, maintenance, modification and decommissioning of plants / pipelines.
Applies PSM Procedures, Manual and Standards in alignment with PSM elements such as Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Incident Investigation, Mechanical Integrity, Management of SCE and PSM auditing.
Review PSM frameworks for hazard identification, assessment of consequences and control of risks
Review technical justification bases for projects from the process safety perspective
Support projects during plant commissioning and turnaround activities
Maintains documentation related to process safety information system. Assists in the identification of protective systems including safety critical equipment. Supports the establishment of performance standards of their design, operation, calibration, maintenance and testing.
Carries out compliance auditing, site inspections and recommends corrective measures. Tracks the implementation of risk reduction recommendations and provides compliance assurance.
Maintains process safety incident database. Assists in carrying out root cause analysis as well as investigation of PSM incidents. Prepares technical reports with analysis, conclusion and recommendation to prevent recurrence.
Carries out communication and awareness campaigns on PSM across the Company organization and externally to all stakeholders.
