وصف الوظيفة
The Database Administrator’s main responsibility is to plan, organize, direct, participate and / or lead the design and implementation of databases changes and enhancements, a multi-layered architecture of hardware and software and communications technologies. Provide advanced specialization in one or more areas of specialization, and / or apply expertise cross-functionally.

المهام الوظيفية
Responsibilities
Ensure 24x7 operations of customer-critical MS SQL Server systems, including but not limited to:
Health monitoring and alerting (Redgate, Grafana, in-house monitoring system)
Performance tuning (SQL extended events, SQL query analyzer (aka execution plan))
Indexes and statistics management
Backup & restore management, backup encryption
Database cloning (restore production copy to DEV environments), data masking
MS SQL Server patching
MS SQL Server and database access
Perform TSQL code review for database schema changes and data migration scripts (we use Azure DevOps)
Develop own TSQL scripts
Drive incidents, problems and changes management processes
Ensure licensing and security compliance in DEV/QA/Production
Support internal projects like upgrades and migrations (Hardware/Operating System/SAN/etc)
Manage capacity
Investigate and implement new features within continuous service improvements process
Collaborate cross teams (Development/Operations)
Provide guidance for Development teams on data modelling, database design and infrastructure
Maintain and incrementally enhance operational standards and policies for database environments

المؤهلات والخبرات
3+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA on Windows platform
Knowledge of RDBMS structure and theory
Working experience with t-shooting performance issues
Working experience with data migration by means of custom TSQL scripts
Communication skills along with ability to work independently and being proactive
Upper intermediate English
