Cost Control Engineer Job Description
1. Assist the Project Managers to complete Projects on time and within the approved budget.
2. Create a schedule/cost/Risks assessment of all projects.
3. Work with client, project manager, and vendors to prepare technical and project cost documentation.
4. Analyze cost & revenue trends and reporting problems or potential problems to Executive Management
5. Set‐up Cost Control System and Project Budget manual based on Construction’s Chart of Accounts and Project Expense items
6. Monitor the detailed construction progress of the project to ensure full adherence to work plans within agreed budget and resources
7. Assist the project manager in identifying and gaining approval of estimates/change requests
8. Conduct regular cost reports and advise management of any forecast cost overruns to allow corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner
9. Highlight cost areas of concern and suggesting areas of improving
10. Maintaining comprehensive accessible registers of financial approvals, variations, and change orders
11. Liaise with the finance department to establish monthly evaluation of work done, logistics received, and services rendered for invoice preparation and verification
